What is Sealcoating?

Recommended for use on all types of asphalt pavements, sealcoats deliver a uniformly colored, watertight seal, designed to improve the appearance of your asphalt and extend the life of your investment.

 

Without adding thickness or structural elements to pavement, sealcoats protect your new pavement from weather, erosion and oxidation, fill minor voids, improve the surface texture and provide a smooth, non-abrasive surface.

 

Crack Sealing

Your first line of defense against pavement cracking and costly repairs is crack sealing.

Constant exposure to sun and rain is pavement’s greatest enemy. Oxidation from the sun causes shrinkage and separation of the asphalt surface. Once that happens, rainwater will penetrate the pavement subsurface and soften it. Without prompt attention, areas around the pavement will also begin to fail. As a result of increased oxidation, the main crack will only get larger. The result: cracks, potholes, and costly repairs.

 

Crack sealing from Fox Asphalt will prevent the deterioration of the subbase pavement from infiltration of water and debris. The thorough cleaning of affected areas and the application of crack sealant will prevent further erosion of the surface and damage to the structural support of the pavement. Crack sealing material is designed to expand and shrink allowing for year-round performance. This means we can seamlessly meet your needs for ADA handicap parking as part of our regular striping process. For night-time reflection needs we can add glass beads for added visibility and safety. We also install signage as needed on poles drilled into concrete.
